Most physicians no longer make house calls, yet they remain very concerned with their patient's safety and ability to carry out activities of daily living (ADLs) in their homes. ALL MED can help be the eyes and ears of the physician.
Our In-Home Safety Assessment consists of a visit to the patient's home, where we
- Review their home from the entrance through the kitchen, family rooms, bedrooms and bathroom
- Ask the patient to take us through a traditional day for them, noting hindrance to ambulation, balance issues and any other deficits that may impede their ability to carry out ADLs independently
- List all home medical and safety equipment currently in the home
- We then list deficiencies noted and possible equipment solutions to help meet the medical needs of the patient
A comprehensive report is generated and forwarded to the patient's physician for their review and to write orders as they deem necessary. A copy is also sent to the referring agency, if applicable. In-Home Safety Assessments are conducted by our experienced and most senior Delivery Technicians, with review and input from our General Manager.
